“Prioritizing mental health impacts not only your current quality of life and those around you, but future generations. It ensures a legacy of resilience that significantly touches everyone we encounter. I know what you're going through can feel as wide and deep as the ocean; still, you are capable of learning how to swim. Healing is profoundly possible.”

Why I Became a Therapist
What I find most rewarding is seeing individuals, couples, or families take those first brave steps to reach out for help. In those initial moments, when they understand that struggling doesn’t mean failing, there is a powerful shift. Watching them take step after step into healing, overcoming the negative beliefs of not being good enough, worthy enough, doing enough, and move toward a place where they begin to ask, "Is this good enough for me? Is it worthy enough for me?" It's when they realize that if there is one thing in the world, above all other things, that they must never give up on, it's themselves.
Expertise:
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
Trauma shows no mercy; it is unbiased and affects everyone, either directly or indirectly. I want clients to feel that they are not alone in their struggles and that they are not too much because of their trauma. It’s important for them to know that healing is possible and that there are many opportunities and options available for recovery. This is not as good as it gets. Healing extends beyond the individual, positively influencing those around us—our partners, children, grandchildren, families, and friends. The ripple effect of this journey spreads far and wide. After continuing to observing the extensive and profound hurt experienced by individuals continually motivates me to deepen my skills, to improve therapeutic outcomes and support clients in achieving their personal goals more effectively.
First Responders
I chose to work with first responders because of their immense sacrifice and the sacrifices made by their families, as they face extraordinary stress and trauma while serving our communities. As part of this commitment, I am the coordinator for the Heartland KS Trauma Recovery Network, which focuses on offering specialized services to first responders. It’s crucial that we help them show up well for themselves and others, rather than allowing the daily accumulation of trauma to overwhelm them. By providing them with the care and support they deserve, I aim to honor their service and help them maintain their own well-being amidst their selfless dedication.
Couples Therapy
I believe that we are inherently meant to be connected to others, and feeling isolated or disconnected from our loved ones is one of the greatest hurts we can experience. For couples, this disconnection can manifest as entrenched, rigid patterns of interaction that hinder their relationship. I want couples to know that there is a way to rekindle those emotional bonds and foster both physical and emotional connection. By helping them overcome feelings of hopelessness and move towards renewed hope, we assist them in breaking free from harmful patterns and embracing more flexible, softer, and supportive ways of relating and connecting to one another.
Veterans
Veterans have volunteered profound sacrifice to our country. They carry burdens long after their service, most silently and without complaint. They have given so much to protect and defend our freedom, and they often carry the weight of these experiences and stories they still hold. Their commitment and bravery deserve our deepest respect and support. Although veterans often have difficulty reaching out, they soon recognize the value of receiving support and the positive impact it can have on their lives.
