“Therapy provides an avenue for self-discovery and growth. It is a place where a person can find support and kindness. Where they eventually will recognize that they don't have to struggle in silence. That they are worthy of healing.”

Why I Became a Therapist
There is no one thing that inspired me to become a social worker and then later on to become a licensed specialist clinical social worker. There were many factors throughout my life that influenced that decision but ultimately it comes down to my desire to help others. Beyond all else that was the core hope I have for my life.
Expertise:
Anxiety Treatment
Anxiety is a complicated emotion. It is essential for our survival and incredibly important, but when unmanaged it can wreak havoc on our bodies and minds. After I have seen so many individuals struggle with anxiety, especially close friends during and after the pandemic it became vital for me to better understand anxiety to help those I care about.
Depression Treatment
There are many forms of depression. To walk through depression is to feel like you are alone in this world and everything around you is pushing in. There are so many different ways to treat depression and having that knowledge is true power. I want to share that knowledge so others have that power.
Grief
Grief is part of every person's life. There are many forms of grief. There is the grief we feel when we have lost a loved one to death, when we age, during a divorce, watching a family member lose parts of themselves to a cognitive disease, our youngest child leaving home, and so many more other forms of grief. Although grief is an aspect of life, we will all walk through it is also often rarely discussed openly. It is important to me that space is provided for grief.
